Registration on UMANG App, Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance Application was developed by National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) with the idea of driving mobile governance in India.
There are the following steps to registration on UMANG App.
Step 1: Download the Umang app on your mobile
Step 2: Open the app and select “New User” or “Register”.
Step 3: Enter your mobile number on the ‘Registration’ screen and select ‘Proceed.’ The mobile number verification page will appear.
Step 4: Enter the OTP and then proceed to set the MPIN. Click ‘Confirm MPIN’ after typing MPIN.
Step 5: Select ‘Proceed,’ answer the security question, and then proceed.
Step 6: Enter your Aadhar number if you want to link it, or click ‘Skip’ to get to the ‘Profile Information Screen,’ where you must fill out your profile information and then click ‘Save & Proceed.’
Step 7: This completes the registration process and you will be redirected to the home screen
You will now be able to log in to the app using your Aadhaar numbers.
The information will be used for electronic know-your-customer (E-KYC) reasons. Aadhaar information is automatically copied to the Umang profile after profile creation.
How to login UMANG App
You can log into the UMANG App using various methods as follows:
- You may use the mobile number registered with UMANG App and M-PIN to log in.
- You may log in using the registered mobile number and OTP
